Poet Laureate 2003

NICOLE GREAVES 
Nicole Greaves has published in The American Poetry ReviewJacaranda and Calliope, among others. She read manuscripts for the literary magazines Ploughshares and Columbia: A Magazine of Prose and Poetry. Her work has been awarded by the Academy of American Poets, and she was the recipient of an academic fellowship from Columbia University. In 2001, she received a Leeway Grant and was the Poet Laureate of Montgomery County, PA in 2003. Currently, she teaches English and Creative Writing at the Crefeld School and meets once a month in a writers’ group, where she is working to complete her first book of poems, In the Waiting Room. She holds a BFA from Emerson College in Writing, Literature and Publishing and an MFA in Poetry from Columbia University. She earned a teaching certification in secondary English from Bryn Mawr College in 2006. Nicole resides in Flourtown with her husband and two children.
